Lesson Overview: When I first taught coding to my grade 8 class through the use of geometry and measurement in Scratch, a lot of the feedback was along the lines of, "That was really cool, but when do we make video games?" Well in this lesson, students get what they want as they learn about the use of variables in algebra through the modification of a simple video game.
